Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu - Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi - Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee; Mr. Mai Duc Chung - Vice President of the National Coaching Council, head coach of the national women's team; along with representatives of VFF's professional departments, leaders of the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, teams participating in the tournament and a large number of fans.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy Secretary General of VFF, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said that this is the 3rd consecutive year VFF has coordinated with Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company to organize the National U19 Women's Football Championship. According to Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha, the persistent companionship of the sponsor has made an important contribution to maintaining and improving the professional quality of the tournament, while creating motivation for youth women's football training.
The organizing committee believes that, with the thoughtful preparation of relevant units, the serious fighting spirit of the teams and the companionship of sponsors, the National U19 Women's Football Championship - Acecook Cup 2026 will take place soi noi, hap dan, ensuring professional quality and fair-play spirit," Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha emphasized.
The National U19 Women's Football Championship - Acecook Cup 2026 has the participation of 5 teams including: Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Nguyen T&T, Hanoi and Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries. The teams compete in a 2-round format, calculating the overall ranking points.
According to the plan, the first leg of the tournament will take place from January 7 to January 20 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi). The second leg will be held from January 27 to February 7 at Ha Nam Stadium (Ninh Binh province).
