At noon on July 15, coach Kim Sang-sik of the U23 Vietnam team attended a press conference before the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian tournament in Indonesia.
At the beginning of the press conference, Mr. Kim said that the whole team is feeling pressured when U23 Vietnam is the champion team in the last 2 times the tournament was held.

"First of all, I feel very happy to be with the team in this tournament. U23 Vietnam has won the championship twice before, so we also felt a little pressure. However, the whole team will try their best and practice hard to achieve the best results in this tournament.
We always work seriously, considering each match as a final. The spirit of the whole team is to play with the highest determination in each match," coach Kim Sang-sik shared.
Coach Kim Sang-sik also assessed Thailand and Indonesia as the two biggest opponents in the race for the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship.
He said: "Thailand has many players with very good individual skills, while Indonesia stands out with strong physical strength. These are 2 formidable opponents and will compete fiercely for the championship this year".
According to the match schedule, U23 Vietnam will have the opening match against U23 Laos at 5:00 p.m. on July 19, followed by the second match in Group B against U23 Cambodia at 8:00 p.m. on July 22.
