On the evening of February 10 (Vietnam time), the Vietnamese women's team suffered a 0-2 defeat to the Chinese women's team in a friendly match at the Shenzhen Youth Football Training Center.

In this match, coach Mai Duc Chung fielded a starting lineup including goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh and players Hoang Thi Loan, Le Thi Diem My, Tran Thi Thu, Tran Thi Duyen, Thai Thi Thao, Cu Thi Huynh Nhu, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Ngan Thi Van Su and Pham Hai Yen.

The Vietnamese women's team entered the game proactively, organized a tight defense and made efforts to deploy their playing style against great pressure from the home team. However, before the superior physical foundation and level, the Chinese women's team gradually controlled the game. In the 30th minute, the home team took advantage of the opportunity to open the scoring.

Stepping into the second half, the Chinese women's team continued to increase pressure and soon scored to increase the score to 2-0 in the 46th minute. Faced with that situation, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's team made many personnel adjustments to test the squad and create opportunities for young players. Players Huynh Nhu, Nguyen Thi Hoa, Tran Thi Thu Thao, Duong Thi Van, Vu Thi Hoa, Nguyen Thi Truc Huong and Tran Nhat Lan were successively brought onto the field.

Despite trying very hard and creating some notable situations, coach Mai Duc Chung's students still could not penetrate the solid defense of the home team. The match closed with a 2-0 victory for the Chinese women's team.

According to the plan, the two teams will have another friendly match on February 13. This is an important opportunity for the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's team to continue reviewing the force, completing the squad before returning home, towards the final round of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship held in Australia in March.
