After nearly 2 days of continuous competition, the Sports Festival of the People's Procuracy sector - Law Protection Newspaper Cup XIV in 2026 has closed with many imprints on the scale, quality of organization and solidarity of units throughout the sector.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung - Deputy Director of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Chairman of the Culture and Sports Council of the People's Procuracy sector emphasized that after 14 editions, the Sports Festival of the People's Procuracy sector has become a traditional activity, a cultural beauty of the People's Procuracy sector; creating a healthy playground for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to practice health, contributing to fostering solidarity, discipline, bravery, responsibility and pride in the People's Procuracy sector.
This year's sports festival attracted 38 delegations with nearly 700 athletes from the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Central Military Procuracy, local Procuracies, the Procuracy University and the Branch of the Procuracy University in Ho Chi Minh City.
Athletes competed in 53 events belonging to 3 sports: badminton, table tennis and pickleball, with a total of more than 800 matches taking place in two days. This is considered the largest-scale sports festival ever of the Procuracy sector after implementing the 3-level organization model.
At the award ceremony, the organizing committee awarded a total of 298 medals, including 81 gold medals, 81 silver medals and 136 bronze medals.
The Hai Phong City People's Procuracy delegation won the first place overall with 8 gold medals and 7 bronze medals. The Supreme People's Procuracy delegation ranked second with 7 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 7 bronze medals, while the Son La Provincial People's Procuracy delegation ranked third with 7 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
In addition to professional awards, the organizing committee also expressed gratitude to sponsors, media partners and collectives and individuals who have contributed to the success of the sports festival.
Closing the XIV sports festival, the People's Procuracy sector continued to affirm its concern for building a comprehensively developed contingent of officials, and at the same time create more motivation for the cultural and sports movement in the entire sector to develop more strongly in the coming time.
