On October 24, the VTV A.O. SMITH Pickleball Open 2025 tournament officially kicked off at Happyland Stadium (Long Bien, Hanoi). This is a sports event organized by the Sports Department - Vietnam Television and TD Media, in coordination with the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam and Vietcontent.
This year's tournament brings together more than 700 athletes participating in 11 competitions, including professional and amateur categories (over and under 35 years old), along with special events for artists and businessmen.

A highlight is the first time IRS (Instant Replay System) technology has been applied at a pickleball tournament in Vietnam. The system includes 10 high-resolution cameras deployed by MK Vision, supporting referees in difficult situations, ensuring fairness and absolute accuracy.
Some famous faces also competed such as Quang Duong - Bao Duong brothers, singer Ha Le, Miss Vu Thuy Quynh, MC Vo Thanh Trung, actor Chi Nhan and other businessmen and artists.
In particular, the tournament also has a profound humanitarian meaning with the charity night "Glow Pickleball Charity Night" - where famous athletes directly auctioned signed rackets to raise funds for the "Heart for children" program, supporting children with congenital heart disease in difficult circumstances.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - General Director of Vietnam Television, pickleball is not only a new sport, but also a bridge connecting the community, spreading positive energy and the spirit of sharing.
With a professional organization scale and long-term orientation, VTV A.O. SMITH Pickleball Open promises to become a prestigious annual event, contributing to making pickleball a popular and international sport in Vietnam.
