At this time, Huynh Thi My Tien has returned to her hometown Vinh Long to celebrate the New Year of 2025 with her relatives after a busy year of training and competing at the National Sports Training and Competition Center in Hanoi.
“Last year was a busy year for me. In the new year 2025, I have many plans and determination to achieve the best results as expected by my teachers,” said athlete Huynh Thi My Tien.
In 2024, Huynh Thi My Tien had a memorable result of winning a gold medal in the 100m hurdles at the National Athletics Championship. After 2 years, she had this result.
In fact, this athlete is not unable to maintain professional stability, but due to the regulations of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, it will not be until November 2024 (after Huynh Thi My Tien transferred from the old unit Vinh Long to the new unit Dong Nai) that her official results at the national championship will be recognized.
“The past year was a memorable year. I won the Gold Medal at the National Championship. I was really touched by this result. I worked very hard during my professional preparation and always focused when competing,” My Tien shared.
Two years after the 32nd SEA Games held in Cambodia (May 2023), My Tien revealed that she has not had many changes in her life.
However, the female athlete who is known as the "hot girl" of Vietnamese women's athletics hurdles believes that she is confident in her form and ability to conquer hurdles in 2025 to maintain her professional results.
At the 32nd SEA Games, Huynh Thi My Tien won the Gold Medal in the women's 100m hurdles. This year, she continues to prepare professionally towards the 33rd SEA Games (December 2025) in Thailand.
Huynh Thi My Tien once shared that her current results were not only due to her own efforts and perseverance, but also greatly contributed to the coach who directly trained her at the Vietnam athletics team, coach Nguyen Van Loi.
“He is like my second father. He is very disciplined, requires me and the athletes in the fencing group to practice very closely and never allows me to give up. I have failed many times in competitions, but each time, he analyzes what I learned from the experience and that helps me become more mature,” Huynh Thi My Tien confided.
In the new year of At Ty 2025, like many of her colleagues, Huynh Thi My Tien has many goals and achievements to aim for. Coach Nguyen Van Loi and her student have high goals at SEA Games 33.
The greatest motivation for her to believe that she can realize her goals is to affirm her expertise from her own abilities. Although she has the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025, right in her hometown Vinh Long, Huynh Thi My Tien still trains her physical strength with personal physical exercises.
Of course, in the new spring, My Tien said that she has a personal hobby of taking pictures showing off her beauty in traditional Vietnamese ao dai so that everyone can see that track and field athletes are as graceful as anyone else.
