PSG coach hospitalized for broken collarbone after cycling accident

    Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique had an accident while cycling and had to be hospitalized for surgery due to a broken collarbone.

    The incident was confirmed by PSG club on social media, and wished the head coach a quick recovery.

    According to sources from European media, the cause of the accident is still unclear. Enrique is a cycling enthusiast and has participated in many fierce races, including the 700 km 8-day challenge in South Africa in March 2023.

    Currently, the European national championships are taking a break to make room for the national teams to gather during the FIFA Days, so Enrique's injury does not greatly affect PSG's training plans.

    Coach Luis Enrique has led PSG since July 2023 and has helped the team win many titles, notably the treble last season, including the Ligue 1 championship, the French Cup and the UEFA Champions League.

    With only 6 practice sessions before the match, Enrique helped PSG successfully turn the tide against Tottenham to win the European Super Cup on penalties.
