Hung Yen Club will inherit the player force of PVF-CAND Youth and will continue to be led by coach Nguyen Duy Dong. The team still uses PVF stadium, belonging to PVF Youth Football Training Center - Ministry of Public Security, as its home field in the new season.
Before changing its name, PVF-CAND Youth had a remarkable 2025-2026 season when they finished in 6th place in the National First Division right in the first year of promotion from the Second Division. After 22 matches, the team won 32 points, only 6 points behind the leading group.
This achievement was mainly thanks to the young players who grew up from the team's training system. Striker Nguyen Hoang Anh is a prominent face when he scored 8 goals, won the title of Best Young Player of the First Division 2025-2026 and was later called up to the Vietnam U23 team.
Besides Nguyen Hoang Anh, Hung Yen club's squad also has many promising young players such as Trinh Long Vu, Nguyen Quang Truong, Le Anh Duc, Mark Huynh, Le Thang Long, Tran Lam Hao, Dao Quang Anh and Pham Van Son.
The team also combines youth and experience with players such as goalkeeper Tong Duc An, midfielder Nguyen Nhu Tuan, Vu Manh Duy and foreign player Joseph Khalio, who scored 7 goals last season.
According to the plan, Hung Yen club will continue to review the force, supplement personnel in the leadership, coaching staff and squad to aim for positive results in the National First Division 2026-2027.
In addition to Hung Yen, the 2026-2027 First Division season also witnessed the appearance of Thai Nguyen club. This team was established on the basis of receiving a playing spot from Tre Hanoi, along with a force of coaches and players who just won promotion from the National Second Division.
