Nguyen Huy Hoang continued to win the championship at the 2025 National Swimming Championship on the evening of October 6 at My Dinh (Hanoi).
8 athletes participated in the final of the men's 400m freestyle distance. Among them, Nguyen Huy Hoang is the oldest face (25 years old).
However, the No. 1 male swimmer in Vietnam reached the best speed to reach the first finish with a time of 3 minutes 52 seconds 21, winning the gold medal. This is the second individual gold medal that Huy Hoang won at this year's National Championship.
In this competition, young talent Tran Van Nguyen Quoc (Da Nang, 17 years old) could not surpass his senior so he accepted to be second with a time of 3 minutes 53 seconds 83.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Viet Tuong (Da Nang) chased fiercely, however, only won the bronze medal with a result of 3 minutes 56 seconds and 13. The 400m freestyle is a high school event, however, young player Nguyen Quang Thuan (Army) finished fourth (3 minutes 58 seconds 84) while Do Ngoc Vinh (Hanoi) finished 6th with a result of 4 minutes 08 seconds 32.
On the temporary total table, the Quang Tri swimming team won 2 gold medals, so they temporarily ranked 4th. The medal results are all from Nguyen Huy Hoang's competition achievements.
Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City team has won 7 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 6 bronze medals to maintain the No. 1 position. The Army and Tay Ninh teams are temporarily in second and third place right behind. The 2025 National Championship will continue to be played until October 9.
