The coaching staff of the Vietnam Swimming Team sent a team of 15 players, including Nguyen Huy Hoang, to Nam Ninh City (China) for training.
According to the plan, the program will start from November 6. Nguyen Huy Hoang and his teammates were trained for 1 month in China. This is a decisive training session for the athletes to improve their expertise towards attending the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in December.

All members of the Vietnam Swimming Team competed in the 2025 National Championship in Hanoi in early October. From the competition results, the Vietnam Swimming Team's Coaching Board selected the best team to train in China.
Nguyen Huy Hoang will still play the key role of the Vietnam Swimming Team at the 33rd SEA Games. 2 years ago, this athlete won 3 gold medals in the 400m freestyle, 1,500m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia.
Nguyen Huy Hoang competed in the 2025 Asian Championship, winning gold medals in the 800m freestyle and 1,500m freestyle distances. These are 2 events that this athlete participated in the 2024 Paris Olympics (France).
