This year's tournament attracts the participation of 8 teams, including 3 foreign teams. Group A includes host VTV Binh Dien Long An, Jiangsu Club (China), Binh Chung Thong Tin and VietinBank. Group B has 4 teams including Suwon City (Korea), LPB Ninh Binh, Gunma Green Wings (Japan) and Hanoi Tasco Auto.
This year's tournament does not have the participation of the defending champion PFU BlueCats (Japan), but the quality of the matches is still highly appreciated. The tournament has the participation of most of the best volleyball players in Vietnam, alongside strong foreign teams from Japan, Korea, and China.
This is the 2nd time Tay Ninh province has organized the VTV9 - Binh Dien International Women's Volleyball Tournament Cup after the first time in 2017.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Tan Hoa - Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee of the VTV9 - Binh Dien 2026 International Women's Volleyball Tournament welcomed volleyball teams to Tay Ninh, a land rich in revolutionary traditions, with many historical and cultural relics, famous scenic spots, and generous and hospitable people of Tay Ninh.
He affirmed the commitment of the locality to closely coordinate with the organizing committee to ensure that the tournament takes place successfully and leaves a deep impression on the athletes, tourists and fans.
The VTV9 - Binh Dien International Women's Volleyball Cup will take place from May 15 to 23.
