The tournament gathers more than 200 athletes from 9 units across the country. Participants include localities and units with developed beach volleyball movements. This is an important playground in the national competition system, contributing to improving professional quality.
Attending the ceremony were Heads of Military Region 5 Command; leaders and commanders of units of the Ministry of National Defense stationed in Military Region 5, the Department of Physical Education and Sports; Vietnam Volleyball Federation and departments and federations of Da Nang city.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Tan Y - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament, said that the goal is to create conditions for athletes to compete, rub shoulders and accumulate experience. The tournament also aims to prepare forces for the X National Sports Games. At the same time, this is an opportunity to select promising young faces for the national team.
The tournament includes two main categories: youth championship and national championship. The youth category has 26 participating teams, including 17 men's and 9 women's teams. The national championship category has 41 teams, including 25 men's and 16 women's teams. The matches take place with high density, requiring good physical strength and tactics.
The organizing committee requests that the operation is ensured according to plan, safety and fairness. Referee and supervisory forces are tightly arranged to ensure professional quality for the tournament.
Previously, the youth tournament content was completed and the First, Second, and Third prizes were awarded to excellent teams. Some outstanding athletes were honored for their impressive performance.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the matches of the national championship content took place enthusiastically. The atmosphere of competition was fierce, attractive, and attracted the attention of fans.
