Da Nang City wants to host the 9th Asian Beach Games

Representatives of Da Nang city worked directly with the Asian Olympic Council - OCA to request hosting the 9th Asian Beach Games.

The working program has been implemented within the framework of the 2026 Asian Beach Games taking place in China.

According to research, Da Nang city expressed its desire to host this Congress in the period 2030-2031. 10 years ago, Da Nang city was the host of the 5th Beach Sports Festival in 2016.

This is also the first time Vietnam has hosted the continental beach sports festival and is highly appreciated for its organization, security, and safety when the competition program takes place.

In the near future, the Asian Olympic Council will make a decision on the proposal for hosting of Da Nang city.

Currently, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation is participating in the 2026 Asian Beach Games in China with 90 members and competing in 8 sports. The Games officially entered 14 sports (15 sub-sports) with a time from April 22 to April 30. 4. The Vietnamese Sports Delegation continues to compete and aims to win more gold medals.

On April 26, we have the athletics team and the women's traditional boat racing team finishing the final events at the 2026 Asian Beach Games. The athletics team did not win any more medals while the women's traditional boat racing team had 1 more bronze medal in the women's 12m boat race.
