Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung emphasized that the tournament is not only a sporting activity but also has important political and foreign significance, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day, the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection. The tournament is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and cultural and sports exchanges between the police and police forces of countries in the region.
The 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament brings together more than 150 athletes from 6 teams from 4 Southeast Asian countries. The teams will play 11 matches over 5 days, from August 26 to 30, at the National Defense Sports Center II, Military Region 7.
According to the organizing committee, this is a sporting event that plays a role in promoting solidarity, physical training for the armed forces, and at the same time contributing to building a beautiful image of the Vietnam People's Public Security in the eyes of international friends.
