On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with relevant units to organize the 2025 International Police and Police Volleyball Tournament. This is a sports and cultural activity of foreign significance, aiming to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the police and police forces in the area, while improving physical strength and solidarity.
The tournament took place from August 24 to 30 at the National Defense Sports Center II (Military Region 7, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of 6 teams, more than 150 athletes from 4 Southeast Asian countries. The teams will play 11 matches in 5 consecutive days, promising to bring exciting matches.
Vietnam has 3 representatives including: People's Public Security (mainly the Ho Chi Minh City Police volleyball team), Army (The Cong Tan Cang) and Hanoi. The international guest teams are the Ministry of Public Security of Laos, the Ministry of Home Affairs of Cambodia and the Indonesian Police.

Many familiar faces of Vietnamese volleyball will appear, including national players such as Duong Van Tien, Quan Trong Nghia, Pham Quoc Du, Dinh Van Tu (People's Public Security) or Tu Thanh Thuan (Army). The presence of these athletes contributes to improving the professional quality of the tournament.
Notably, the tournament regulations allow teams to use foreign players. The People's Public Security has added Dutch hitter Ter Horst - a national player born in 1991, 2m05 tall, who competed in the Italian national championship, one of the world's leading volleyball tournaments. Ter Horst's presence is expected to create more highlights for this year's tournament.

Group B includes the People's Public Security, Hanoi and the Indonesian Police. The teams will compete in a round-robin, selecting the top 2 teams in each group to enter the semi-finals, then compete in the final and 3rd place.
