Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Quy Trong - Deputy Head of the Department of Localities 3, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation; representatives of the diamond sponsor HDBank, sponsors, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry and representatives of the football teams. On the side of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), there were Mr. Vu Hai Quang - Deputy General Director, Head of the tournament Steering Committee, and leaders of VOV agencies in the Southern region.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vu Hai Quang said that this year's tournament follows the success of previous seasons in the Central Highlands and Hanoi, and affirmed that this is an important playground to develop the student futsal movement nationwide. According to him, the tournament is organized with the goal of bringing a fair and professional competition environment and spreading a healthy sportsmanship among young people.
Representing the host unit, Dr. Tran Dinh Ly - Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry said that the school has fully prepared facilities, human resources and spirit to ensure the tournament is successful.
Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Anh Tu highly appreciated the organization, saying that student futsal tournaments like this contribute to the development of the school sports movement, and are also a potential supply of players for clubs and national futsal teams.
The 2025 HDBank student futsal tournament in Ho Chi Minh City will take place from November 4 to 12, gathering 12 student teams. The matches are held at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry Gymnasium. In the opening match, the home team of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry won 2-1 against Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology.
