After being held in Ho Chi Minh City in 2024, Vietnam Pro-Am Basketball Championship 2025 Brought by VNPAY (VBC) will return to the capital Hanoi - where the first season will kick off and is the cradle of the Pro-Am basketball tournament system in Vietnam.
VBC 2025 brings together 10 top semi-professional teams nationwide, including the best representatives from three regions. Coming from Hanoi Pro-Am Basketball Championship (HBC) are 3F Galaxy, Ba Dinh, PKKQ Peak and Hidden Dragons.
Coming from Danang Pro-Am Basketball Championship (DBC) are Hustle Hoa Binh and X-BDC. Meanwhile, from the Saigon Pro-Am Basketball Cup (SBC), there are the participation of Tsunami Dreamers, IN'N'OUT Jr. and Next Level Hyper hall.
Because The Baller Club (3rd place SBC 2025) could not participate, the Hanoi Team was chosen to replace and complete the list of 10 teams competing in the national finals.
The best teams from the three regions will bring notable matches at VBC 2025. 3F Galaxy - the current HBC champion, and VBC champion for two consecutive seasons 2023 and 2024 - stands out for its disciplined playing style, the ability to control the tempo and the cohesion between positions. Hustle Hoa Binh shows a fast, flexible playing style and a persistent physical foundation, while Tsunami Dreamers prove their mettle with stable performance and the ability to explode at decisive moments.
The VBC 2025 Organizing Committee has drawn lots to divide the groups for 10 teams. As a result, the teams Hidden Dragons, Tsunami Dreamers, PKKQ Peak, IN'N'OUT Jr and 3F Galaxy are in Group A. Group B includes the Hanoi team, Next Level Hyper hall, Ba Dinh, Hustle Hoa Binh and X-BDC.
With this result, the audience will see the recreation of the finals in the Da Nang stages, when DBC champion 2025 Hustle Hoa Binh will face X-BDC again, and Saigon stage with the Tsunami Dreamers match against IN'N'OUT Jr.
Group A is also considered a "death group" with the appearance of the reigning champions of HBC 2025, VBC 2023 and 2024 - 3F Galaxy, along with Tsunami Dreamers - the team that successfully defended its throne at SBC 2025.
In order to increase competitiveness and opportunities for teams, VBC 2025 will apply the double-elimination competition format. Ten teams are divided into two groups, without a seed team. After the group stage, the top and second-placed teams in each group will enter the Upper Round, where the two winning teams will qualify for the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, the teams ranked 3rd and 4th will continue to compete in the lower branch (Lower Round) to find opportunities to go further. The two winning teams in the semi-finals of the upper and lower branches will face off in the Grand Final, where the 2025 VBC national championship will be decided.
The Vietnam Pro-Am Basketball Championship 2025 Brought by VNPAY will take place from October 26 to November 5, 2025 at Cau Giay Stadium, No. 35 Tran Quy Kien, Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi. The matches will be broadcast live on online platforms of VTVcab, ON Sports and ON Live.
