Thu Hoai will not join Vietinbank in the first phase of the 2025 National Championship. What is the reason for this decision and how are you prepared?
- I did not participate in the first phase of the 2025 National Championship because I planned to have a baby right after getting married. After temporarily leaving the team, I was lucky to be accepted by the management company and work right in the Business Department of the management company.
After entering married life, what difference do you and your husband feel? Are there any changes in both?
- Although we know that everything is new and just begun, we are quite good. Both my husband and I still have times to argue, and sometimes get angry like children, but one of us humiliates others first.
As for my husband, I think he was always a responsible person before and now he shows that personality more clearly, always seeing him worried about his family and having plans for our future days so that the whole family can have a less difficult life.
Thu Hoai is one of the few volleyball players with other quite stable jobs when temporarily off competition. Are you very well prepared?
- This is the first time I have entered the labor market, in addition to playing professional volleyball. Currently, when I go to work, I am being mentored by my superiors, and the staff in the company give me a lot of guidance and support.
I am also lucky that 4 years of university have helped me absorb quickly and adapt better to my current job. Continuous studying has opened up many options for me after retirement. This further affirms that investing in education during the competition is a correct and completely deserving decision.
Is the economy something you worry about when you are on leave? How do you and your husband share about your finances?
- I have been an independent since I was a child, so even though I don't have to worry too much about finances, I still want to work to gain experience and be more open. And of course, my husband is a great support for me to be able to do what I like, and fortunately, he also supports my life perspective.
Looking at the women around and from your own experience, what do you think is an important factor to build a family and maintain family happiness?
- For me, if I want to maintain a strong relationship between two people, there needs to be sharing and connection. The two must be open, sincere, know how to worry about each other's emotions, and encourage each other in all circumstances.
Entering married life, do you have any models of women that I pursue or influence you?
- The image of a woman like my mother has been eating deep into my subconscious. My mother is a very hard-working, helpless and very frugal person. I have many similarities to my mother. My mother always thought about how to make us happy and safe. I think I am also a woman who prioritizes family and wants to nurture and take good care of my husband and children.
On the occasion of March 8, if you were able to express yourself to your mother, the women around you and yourself, what would you say?
- For my mother, I hope she is always healthy and safe so that her children can focus on studying and striving for their own lives. Only when the mother is well and not sick can the children feel secure in taking care of their lives.
To the women around us and to ourselves, I hope that we are always strong, constantly cultivating value from within and without. Proactively create happiness, know how to appreciate and nurture joy for yourself, while constantly learning and developing to become a better version of yourself every day.
Thank you for the conversation!
