On the competition day of August 23 in the Philippines, the Vietnamese swimming team continued to win more valuable championships through the events they participated in.
In the men's 5km championship competition, 2 players Do Ngoc Vinh and Cao Van Dung still maintained their form to lead, winning 2 highest positions.
Do Ngoc Vinh won a gold medal with a time of 55 minutes 51 seconds while Cao Van Dung received a silver medal with a result of 56 minutes 06 seconds.
In the 5km men's youth event for 14-15 years old, athlete Nguyen Vinh Thai Bao won a gold medal when he achieved a competition time of 57 minutes and 44 seconds.
Meanwhile, the 5km race for young men 16-17 years old witnessed Tran Gia Phuc finish first, receiving a gold medal with a result of 56 minutes and 38 seconds.
For women, athlete Nguyen Kha Nhi won the 5km women's youth championship at the age of 18-19 (1 hour 01 minute 40 seconds) and Le Huynh Tu Uyen won the 5km women's championship in the 16-17 age group (1 hour 05 minutes 57 seconds).
The last gold medal on the competition day of the Vietnamese swimming team belonged to young athlete Pham Duc Trong. The male athlete finished first in the 3km junior event with a result of 42 minutes 17 seconds.
August 23rd was the final competition day of the 2026 Southeast Asian Open Water Swimming Championships.
