On the evening of October 12, the final match of the Hanoi Open Pool Championship 2025 between Moritz Neuhausen (Germany) and Pujis Labutis (Lithuania) ended an exciting Hanoi Open Pool Championship 2025 season.
Accordingly, Labutis won a dramatic 13-7 victory over a highly rated opponent. Under the enthusiastic cheers of nearly 2,000 spectators at the My Dinh indoor Athletics Palace, the two players brought a top-notch competition, full of tactics and courage.

After a difficult start to the score of 4-4, Labutis took advantage of the opponent's mistakes to break through and lead 10-4. Although Neuhausen tried to shorten the number to 7-10, a miserable run on rack 18 put the German player in an end.
Labutis quickly ended the match with a 13-7 victory, thereby winning the first Major championship of his career and receiving a reward of 40,000 USD.

Previously, in the semi-finals, defending champion Labutis excellently defeated talented young opponent Robbie Capito with a score of 11-8. Meanwhile, the new Peri Open 2025 champion - Moritz Neuhausen did not have much difficulty when defeating Harry Vergara (Philippines) by a score of 11-4.
Also on the final day of competition, the Organizing Committee announced the Asian team captain - Philippine billiards legend Bustamante's decision to select Duong Quoc Hoang for a special place to participate in the Reyes Cup 2025.

In the parallel youth tournament - Hanoi Junior Open, Nguyen Tien Trung played excellently, entered the final and only lost to Jack Beggs (New Zealand) with a score of 7-9. This is the first time Vietnam has had a representative in the final after 2 seasons, marking a significant step forward for the young players.
