On May 15, the Vietnam Handball Federation for term 3 (2026-2031) elected a new Executive Committee with 19 members.
With high confidence, Mr. Hua Xuan Sinh (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Duc Viet TMDV Production Joint Stock Company) was unanimously elected by the General Meeting to hold the role of Chairman.
The Vietnam Handball Federation term 3 also has 3 Vice Presidents: Mr. Vu Quang Huy, Nguyen Hung Quan and Pham Quang Ban. Mr. Dao Duc Kien (Deputy Head of the High-Performance Sports Department, Vietnam National Sports Administration) is held the role of Secretary General.
The goal of the Vietnam Handball Federation in this term is to continue to develop the handball movement throughout the country and especially handball in the educational environment. Chairman Hua Xuan Sinh hopes that handball will be held at the National Phu Dong Health Festival in the near future.
In terms of professional goals, Vietnamese handball aims to continue to win medals at SEA Games 34, 35, 36 and have a young women's beach handball team participating in the 2030 Youth Olympics. Vietnamese women's beach handball maintains its achievement in the top 3 in Asia.
Currently, the Vietnamese women's beach handball team has won the Asian championship in 2022, 2023 and 2025. The 3rd term Handball Federation will also focus on calling for sponsorship and finding socialized resources. Financial reports show that in the 2nd term, from 2019 to early 2026, the Federation's total revenue was only over 784 million VND.
The goal set by Chairman Hua Xuan Sinh is to try to find funding so that the Federation has annual revenue from 800 million VND to 1.2 billion VND.
At this Congress, the Vietnamese women's beach handball team was awarded the Second-class Labor Medal, recognizing the achievement of winning a gold medal at the 2025 Asian Beach Championship.
