The 2026 Asian Beach Games will close on April 30 in China. The Vietnamese women's beach handball team will participate in the final match for the championship. This is also the final competition program of the Games.
The Vietnamese women's beach handball team will compete against the Chinese women's team. The competition will take place on the morning of April 30. Then on the same day, the Closing Ceremony of the Congress will take place.
To reach the final, the Vietnamese women's beach handball team won against Turkmenistan 2-0 in the semi-finals.
At the Asian Beach Games held in Da Nang in 2016, the Vietnamese women's beach handball team won a gold medal when they defeated the Chinese team 1-2 in the final.
Currently, the whole team will focus on competing to achieve the highest results.
As of the end of the competition day on April 29, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation has won 12 medals to temporarily rank 6th. The achievements we have include 2 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals.
The teams that won medals for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation included beach athletics, beach wrestling, traditional boat racing and beach wrestling.
The host Chinese sports delegation is temporarily leading with a result of 22 gold medals, 17 silver medals and 11 bronze medals.
Currently, the Vietnamese women's beach handball team is the reigning Asian champion.
