Mai Hoang My Trang played the quarter-final match in the women's singles event against the Do Le Van Chi youth team on the afternoon of October 30. During the games, My Trang was the player who took the initiative to make situations of kicking the ball to attack the opponent. Against the powerful balls of her seniors, Do Le Van Chi could not create a surprise and accepted defeat.
The victory in the quarter-finals helped Mai Hoang My Trang win a place in the semi-finals of the tournament. Last year, she won the women's championship. This year, Mai Hoang My Trang aims to enter the final to defend her No. 1 position.
Currently, Mai Hoang My Trang is the most experienced female tennis player competing in high-performance table tennis tournaments in Vietnam at the age of U40. Before participating in the 2025 National Table Tennis Tournament for Excellence, Mai Hoang My Trang won the women's singles event at the 2025 National Strong Team Table Tennis Tournament.
After the quarter-final round of the women's event, the tournament organizing committee has determined that the semi-final pairs will take place on October 31, which are Mai Hoang My Trang - Tran Mai Ngoc and Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh - Nguyen Thi Nga. The 4 players participating in the women's semi-finals have been selected as members of the Vietnam Table Tennis Team to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.
In the men's event, the two semi-final matches will be played on October 31: Dinh Anh Hoang - Bui The Nghia, Nguyen Duc Tuan - Le Dinh Duc.
