The women's singles final of the 2025 National Strong Team Table Tennis Tournament taking place on September 28 is the competition between Mai Hoang My Trang (Ho Chi Minh City) and Tran Mai Ngoc (T&T People's Police).
Before the final match, many predicted that the two players would compete on equal terms because each person had strengths. However, Mai Hoang My Trang is still the outstanding player.
Although in her 40s, Mai Hoang My Trang still plays agile and accurately with many sharp attacks. Therefore, she easily overwhelmed young tennis player Tran Mai Ngoc.
The final match quickly took place with Mai Hoang My Trang dominating the game. This tennis player won 4-1 (11-7, 11-4, 12-14, 11-8, 11-8), winning the gold medal in women's singles.
In the men's singles final held at the same time, tennis player Nguyen Duc Tuan (Hai Phong) beat Dinh Anh Hoang (T&T People's Police) with a score of 4-2, winning the championship.
In this year's tournament, the T&T People's Public Security table tennis team reached 6 finals in 7 events they have competed in. However, the players have only won 3 championships (men's team, men's doubles, mixed doubles). This team ranked first overall with 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.
Ho Chi Minh City table tennis team ranked second with 3 gold medals, 1 bronze medal. All 3 gold medals went to female tennis players (women's team event, women's doubles, women's singles). Notably, the Hanoi team did not win a gold medal at the tournament.
