Today (March 6), the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) announced the list of players who submitted tri-outs (tedays) before the 2025-2026 season with 100 male players and 43 female players.
Notably, opposite Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen is on this list. She is the only athlete from Vietnam participating in the national team. Previously, Thanh Thuy was mentioned by the Korean media when applying for a try-out. Thus, it is likely that the main striker of VTV Binh Dien Long An team has withdrawn his application and Bich Tuyen will be the name to attend the upcoming job test.
In addition to Bich Tuyen, the above list also includes names familiar to Asian volleyball fans such as Shimamura (Japan), Solomon (Philippines), Queen Tokuko (Japan), Tichakorn Boonlert (Thailand) ...

Try-out is a mandatory procedure for clubs to determine which players are eligible to participate in the new season of Korean volleyball.
If she overcomes it, Korea will be the first destination in Bich Tuyen's journey abroad. According to information from KOVO, the salary for new recruits is 100,000 USD/year for men (about 2.6 billion VND/year) and 120,000 USD/year (about 3.9 billion VND/year) for women. For second-year players, the salary will increase to 120,000 USD/year for men and 150,000 USD/year for women (about 3.8 billion VND/year).
Thus, if playing in the land of kimchi, opposite Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen will receive an attractive salary, much higher than the average salary of players playing in Vietnam.
This year's Asian foreign player selection will take place online at the Mayfield Hotel on April 11 to create conditions for players who are busy with a match schedule with a club or national team to still be able to participate.
The selected players will join the club from July 1 with a contract extension until May 31, 2026.
