Sharing on the German Volleyball Federation's homepage, coach Giulio Bregoli said: "We are clearly happy to win our first match. We are in the world championship, so we cannot expect easy matches. Meanwhile, captain Camilla Weitzel assessed that the Kenyan team had brought many surprises to the German team, because the two teams had not met before.

In the second match of Group G, Germany will meet Vietnam women's volleyball. In the opening match, the Vietnam team lost 1-3 to the world third-placed team Poland. But winning a set against a top team in the world is also an encouraging point for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team.
We will focus on each match and always try our best, because, as I said, there are no easy matches at the world tournament, coach Bregoli shared before the match against Vietnam women's volleyball.
The German women's volleyball team is currently ranked 11th in the world, 11 places ahead of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. According to information from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the German team has participated in 17 previous Women's Volleyball World Cups, and their best result to date is the fourth place achieved in 1974 and 1986. Earlier this year, Germany finished seventh in the Nations League.
At the world tournament in Thailand, the German team of Italian coach Giulio Bregoli will rely heavily on the middle blocker and captain of the 25-year-old Camilla Weitzel, libero Anna Pogany, the main attackers are Lina Alsmeier, Lena Stigrot and the middle blocker Marie Scholzel.
