The event has 28 athletes participating, in which in addition to Nguyen Thi Oanh, experts predict faces such as Bui Thi Thu Ha, Nguyen Khanh Linh, Nguyen Thu Quyen, Vu Thi Tra My... may compete for leading achievements.
In fact, when the race took place, Nguyen Thi Oanh showed a completely superior advantage. She took the lead right from the start of the race and did not encounter any close pursuit.
Therefore, Oanh comfortably finished first with a result of 16 minutes 30 seconds. The result recorded the 10th consecutive time Nguyen Thi Oanh won the professional women's 5km event of the tournament.
She is the first person to achieve the above record at the National Marathon Championship of Tien Phong Newspaper.

In the professional women's 5km event at this year's tournament, the second place is Bui Thi Thu Ha. The young female athlete of the Vietnamese athletics team achieved a result of 17 minutes 15 seconds. Thu Ha once won a bronze medal in the marathon – 42km women's event at SEA Games 33. However, at the competition of the 2026 National Marathon Championship of Tien Phong Newspaper, she competed in the professional 5km event to ensure her expertise.
The marathon – 42km professional women's event of the 2026 National Marathon Championship, Tien Phong newspaper witnessed a touching moment when athlete Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa fell near the finish line but still managed to reach the finish line to maintain the overall result. Ngoc Hoa was forced to crawl to the finish line when her fitness declined but ensured her performance.
She achieved a result of 2 hours 44 minutes 13 seconds, ranking second. This achievement helped Ngoc Hoa win a silver medal at the X-2026 National Sports Games (women's professional marathon – 42km event is included in the overall medal standings of the Games).
