Nguyen Thuy Linh will participate in the 2025 China Masters tournament held in Guangdong (China) from September 16 to September 21.
After the 2025 Vietnam Open, Thuy Linh is expected to go to China on September 15. She is the only athlete of Vietnamese badminton here.
The 2025 China Masters tournament is at the BWF World Tour Super 750 level for badminton in the world. Therefore, tennis players in the top 20 in the world will participate. Thuy Linh was not chosen as the seed. The entire tournament has a total prize of 1 million 250 thousand USD.
Thuy Linh will face Singapore's No. 1 Yeo Jia Min in the first match of the women's singles event. The two met in the 2025 German Open final in March this year and Thuy Linh lost the match at that time. Currently, Yeo Jia Min is ranked 15th in the world and is almost certain to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. Nguyen Thuy Linh is ranked 18th in the world.
The Vietnamese women's tennis player holds the record of 4 consecutive appearances in the final of the Vietnam Open International Badminton Tournament. However, the tournament is only at the BWF World Tour Super 100 level, so not many of the top players in the region and continent will participate.
