The Vietnam women's volleyball team is actively preparing for the AVC Nations Cup 2025. In the squad that coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet brought to the tournament, Luu Thi Ly Ly is a notable face. Talking to Lao Dong, a representative of the Information Corps - TCT Dong Bac club said: "It can be said that Ly Ly has "revived" under the hands of coach Pham Van Long and played very well. Coach Tuan Kiet calling him to the national team is a recognition of this player's efforts.
I believe Ly Ly is a quality addition, creating positive competition in the squad to aim for the highest goal for the Vietnam women's volleyball team".
Currently, the rear of the Vietnam women's volleyball team is thinner than ever after the absence of striker Tu Linh due to injury. Therefore, the presence of Luu Thi Ly Ly carries many expectations, especially in the context of the first step, defense is a clear weakness of the team.
With a strong mentality, high discipline and competition experience, Ly Ly is not only considered a temporary solution to replace Tu Linh, but can also become a new core for the team's back row.
