The women's singles quarterfinals of the Indonesia Masters 2026 badminton tournament witnessed player Nguyen Thuy Linh competing focused in the afternoon of January 23 but could not win.
Nguyen Thuy Linh's opponent in the quarter-final match was Pitchamon Opatniputh (Thailand). The Vietnamese player played excitedly, putting the opponent in a defensive position in the first set. With her advantage, Thuy Linh continuously scored points in the decisive spikes and surpassed to win 21-18.
In the 2nd set, Thuy Linh took the lead in the first set points. However, player Pitchamon Opatniputh played calmly and chased after Thuy Linh. At the decisive moment, the Thai player surpassed Nguyen Thuy Linh 26-24.
In the 3rd set, everyone waited for Thuy Linh to regain her advantage to win. Unfortunately, the Vietnamese badminton player could not achieve the best fitness due to having to strain herself to compete in the previous 2 sets. Therefore, Thuy Linh accepted defeat with a score of 12-21.
