Tran Thi Bich Thuy has returned to Vietnam after the first phase of the 2025 SEA V.League. Everyone was surprised when the Organizing Committee honored her with the Best Middle Blocker award in the first phase of the 2025 SEA V.League.
However, the professional performance in Thailand of this 1m84 tall hitter has convinced the most demanding people.
"Bich Thuy has improved her skills a lot. The player played well in the midfield and could make quick attacks according to the set strategy," coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet once analyzed this player.
A year ago, Tran Thi Bich Thuy did not perform at her best, so she was absent from the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. Also this year, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team competed brilliantly to win the AVC Challenge Cup 2024 championship and the third place of the FIVB Challenge Cup 2024 but were without Tran Thi Bich Thuy.
However, Tran Thi Bich Thuy's brilliant performance at the Korean Volleyball Championship ( wearing the GS Caltex Seoul Kixx team jersey) helped her regain the advantage and win a place back in the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team this year.
Fans still remember the first stage of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, head coach Lee Young-taek (GS Caltex Seoul Kixx) from Korea came to Vietnam to attend the Dong Anh Stadium (Hanoi) to watch Bich Thuy compete.
The Korean coach shared with the media that Bich Thuy is a middle blocker with diverse playing ability and good scoring efficiency.

The title of best middle blocker in the first phase of the 2025 SEA V.League is Tran Thi Bich Thuy's first individual award at the official tournaments of Southeast Asian volleyball.
In terms of expertise, in the current Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team, Bich Thuy only lost to Tran Thi Thanh Thuy in terms of the number of times she played for teams outside of Vietnam. She competed in Thailand in the 2018-2019 season and in Korea in the 2024-2025 season.
Rarely does Bich Thuy share about her international journey. She once expressed: "I have matured a lot after each time I accumulate my expertise in a tournament outside of Vietnam. I learned many things to serve myself when I returned to Vietnam to compete in order to have the best expertise".
Returning to Vietnam after the first leg of the 2025 SEA V.League, Bich Thuy and her teammates traveled to Ninh Binh on the evening of August 4. The Vietnam women's volleyball team will have enough time to prepare before competing in the second phase of the tournament at Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium from August 8 to August 10.
For Bich Thuy personally, she is in good form and is confident that she will maintain the individual title she has just achieved in the first stage of the 2025 SEA V.League. More importantly, Bich Thuy and her teammates hope to change their performance in the second phase of the 2025 SEA V.League at home.
