After the merger of administrative boundaries, a super ward was formed in the center of Thai Nguyen province, on the basis of merging many old wards such as Phan Dinh Phung, Hoang Van Thu, Trung Vuong...
Along with the reorganization of the administrative apparatus, this place is becoming the focus of infrastructure investment when a series of large-scale projects are being implemented at the same time.
Notably, the projects not only focus on administrative functions but also expand to urban, commercial and public landscapes.

Notable among them is the Central Walking Street New Urban Area project, with a scale of more than 6.6 hectares. The project includes a walking street over 330m long, over 52m wide, with a basement for parking, a commercial and service complex, townhouses and a technical infrastructure system.
The project has a total investment of more than VND 2,452 billion, implemented from the first quarter of 2025 to the fourth quarter of 2027.
In April 2025, the land was auctioned for land use rights with a winning price of more than 1,367 billion VND, attracting great attention from the public.
On July 10, Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter noted that a series of headquarters have been and are being demolished.

Many blocks of headquarters of (old) agencies are being demolished, construction barriers have been erected, and the ground is basically ready to enter the technical infrastructure implementation stage.
As of July 8, 22 old agency headquarters have been demolished within the project area to create a construction site.
Previously, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung assessed that this is a symbolic project, playing an important role in creating a new look for the city, while being a cultural and tourism highlight and bringing great socio-economic value.
When completed, Thai Nguyen walking street will be a space for community, cultural and artistic events. At the same time, it enhances the urban landscape, creating an attractive destination for people and tourists.

Located not far away, right behind Vo Nguyen Giap Square, another landscape project is also being invested with a total capital of about 200 billion VND.
The project has an area of over 2.2 hectares, including items such as internal roads, lighting, sports fields, trees, parking lots and public entertainment areas.
Previously, this area was a strip of land, abandoned for many years, overgrown with weeds, and had not been exploited effectively for many years.
The renovation and addition of public space not only expands the function of the existing square but also connects neighboring residential routes, increasing the area of inner-city parks.
In the group of projects serving the administrative apparatus, the inter-agencies headquarters project of Thai Nguyen province is being completed with a total investment of more than 400 billion VND.

The project is 12 stories above ground and 1 basement, built on a land area of nearly 1.4 hectares in the old Trung Vuong ward.
Up to now, the rough construction has been basically completed, the remaining items such as interior, electricity and water, and technical systems are being urgently deployed, expected to be completed in 2025.
When put into use, the project will be a centralized workplace for many departments and branches, contributing to improving operational efficiency and facilitating people in handling administrative procedures.
A series of projects implemented simultaneously in the same super ward will open up space for infrastructure development, urban space and economic and service activities.
When completed, these projects are expected to form a modern urban axis, contributing to enhancing the appearance of the center of Thai Nguyen province.
