Nguyen Thuy Linh is currently practicing professionally at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports. The tennis player will depart for China to participate in the 2026 Asian Championships on April 4th.
In the ranking of the Badminton World Federation BWF just announced on March 31, Nguyen Thuy Linh is still ranked 26th in the world women's singles. The player has no changes in ranking compared to the last time.
Thuy Linh will be the only representative of the Vietnamese badminton team to participate in the women's singles event at the 2026 Asian Championships.
In addition to Thuy Linh, players Nguyen Hai Dang, Tran Dinh Manh, Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Pham Thi Dieu Ly, Pham Thi Khanh, Pham Van Truong, Bui Bich Phuong have also returned to professional practice in Bac Ninh. They just participated in the Vietnam International Challenge 2026 badminton tournament in Hanoi but did not have the best results.
According to the Asian Badminton Federation, the Vietnamese badminton team is awarded 1 spot to participate in each event including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles.
In the men's doubles event, our representative is Nguyen Hai Dang. This player is still ranked 63rd in the world at the BWF.
The 2026 Asian Championship will officially compete from April 7. Vietnamese players are present from April 4 to get acquainted with the courts as well as prepare for the draw for each of their competition events.
The Vietnamese badminton team will take the 2026 Asian Championship as one of the professional tests before ASIAD 20.
