On November 6, tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh (seed number 2) competed in the next match at the 2025 Masters tournament in Korea. This is a tournament with the BWF World Tour Super 300 level of world badminton.
Thuy Linh will meet Hung Yi-Ting (Taiwan, China) in the match for a place in the quarter-finals. Against a not-so-strength opponent, the Vietnamese tennis player took the initiative in the two rounds and won quickly with a score of 2-0 (21-18, 21-9). The victory helped Nguyen Thuy Linh enter the quarterfinals to face host tennis player Lee So Yul (Korea) on November 7.
Meanwhile, tennis player Nguyen Hai Dang competed in the men's singles event but lost 1-2 to No. 4 seed Jeon Hyeok Jin (Korea). The result caused the top male tennis player in Vietnam to accept stopping the game and being eliminated from the tournament.
The 2025 Masters International Badminton Tournament will continue to compete until November 9, however, Vietnamese badminton will only have Nguyen Thuy Linh competing. We were eliminated from the men's singles and men's doubles events respectively.
After this tournament, Thuy Linh is expected to continue to Japan to compete to accumulate more expertise. Thuy Linh's goal at the 2025 Masters tournament in Korea is to participate in the final match of the women's singles event. If she plays successfully, she will likely have the opportunity to face the No. 1 seed Chiu Pin-Chian (Taiwan, China) in the final match.
