Today (December 9), main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has left for Indonesia to join the Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk volleyball club, starting a new journey abroad for herself.
Mr. Phan Hung Cuong - Director of Binh Dien Long An Sports One Member Co., Ltd. (the unit managing Thanh Thuy's home team, VTV Binh Dien Long An) said that the contract between the two sides has been signed. The company will create conditions for Thanh Thuy to continue playing abroad and hopes that this striker will have good form in Indonesia to further develop his expertise.
For now, Thanh Thuy's contract with the team will be for 1 season. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy's transfer value has not been disclosed.
Currently, the Indonesian National Women's Volleyball Championship has begun. If she meets the qualifications, Thanh Thuy can immediately play for the Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk club.
This team currently has players playing in the main attacking position: Mediol Stiovany Yoku, Putri Nur Hidayanti Agustin, Ibovna Talita, Shafina Ayu Larasati, Naftalya Katuuk.
Thus, by joining the team from Indonesia, Thanh Thuy continues to be the only Vietnamese female volleyball player playing abroad up to now.
