Implementing the 2025 competition organization plan of the Vietnam General Martial Arts Federation (VMMAF), the MMA LION Championship 23 (LC23) event is scheduled to take place on June 14 at Rach Mieu Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.
However, because this location will be renovated and repaired from June 2025 to serve the preparation for the 2026 National Sports Festival, it cannot meet the professional requirements as well as ensure the safety of athletes and spectators participating in the competition.
"With the above force majeure reasons and the urgent time of not being able to survey and arrange a replacement location in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam General Martial Arts Federation would like to announce that the LC23 event will be moved to Tay Ho Stadium, Hanoi. The organization time remains unchanged - June 14, 2025," the VMMAF announcement stated.
The VMMAF side affirmed that there will be a plan to organize another event of LION Championship in Ho Chi Minh City after Rach Mieu and Ho Chi Minh City gymnasiums have completed the repair or when there is a suitable replacement plan.
Thus, this is the 3rd event of the MMA LION Championship 2025 season held in Hanoi. The two previous events, LC21, LC22, were also held at Tay Ho Stadium, attracting the attention and follow-up of thousands of spectators.
