Currently, Ngo Quyen Street - Provincial Road 550 (the road connecting the old Ha Tinh City with the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi Expressway) still has piles of soil and sand in the middle of the road, so people and vehicles cannot travel on this route to connect to the expressway.
Ngo Quyen Street - Provincial Road 550 is 5km long, an important traffic route connecting Bai Vot - Ham Nghi Expressway with the old Ha Tinh City.
The route starts at the intersection of National Highway 1 with Ngo Quyen Street, and ends at the intersection of the expressway with Provincial Road 550, and will be implemented on January 1, 2023 - the start date of the 3 expressway component projects in the 2021 - 2025 period through Ha Tinh.
The three component projects of the North-South expressway through Ha Tinh have been opened to traffic for a long time, however, up to now, the expressway connecting route with the old Ha Tinh city has not been able to be handed over and put into operation, while the completion time of the project is November 18, 2025.
Along with the connecting route, the provincial road 550 - Ham Nghi extended road ( highway parallel road) invested by the Ministry of National Defense Corporation 319 has not been handed over and put into operation.
Major Tran Dinh Ngan - Corporation 319 (Ministry of National Defense) - the investor - said: The main route of the connecting road was completed many months ago. However, due to the emergence of some items that need to be supplemented, the construction time is somewhat longer. In particular, during the construction of additional items, there were many prolonged storms and rains, affecting the project's progress.
Currently, the unit is waiting for the State Inspection Council to accept the construction works to inspect and accept the two above-mentioned routes. If all goes well, about 7 - 10 days can be handed over to Ha Tinh province for exploitation.
