At AVC Nations Cup 2025, Thanh Thuy received the title of best main striker. After a long period of injury, the 1997-born hitter has made an impressive comeback, proving herself worthy of the captain's armband of the Vietnam women's volleyball team.
In the recent tournament, Thanh Thuy was the most complete player of the defending champion. According to statistics, she did well in all professional stages from attacking to scoring (67 points), blocking the ball (8 successful blocks, only after Bich Thuy 9 times), passing the ball (7 points) to defense (31 successful saves, only after Khanh Dang 59 times) and receiving the first pass (22 successful times, only 25 times less than Nguyen Thi Uyen).
Thanh Thuy's skills are stable and promoted in the most important matches. As a captain, Thanh Thuy always knows how to lift the spirit of the whole team in many phases.
If they continue to maintain their current impressive form, Thanh Thuy and Bich Tuyen will certainly still be the two most important attackers of the Vietnam women's volleyball team at the present time.
Nguyen Khanh Dang
Khanh Dang is one of three players of the Vietnam women's volleyball team to be honored at the AVC Nations Cup 2025. The player of VTV Binh Dien Long An team received the title of "Best Libero".
According to statistics, Khanh Dang has had 59 successful defenses. Libero, born in 2000, is a solid support in the back line of the Vietnam women's volleyball team.
She continuously had excellent saves, helping the team maintain the tempo and switch to a flexible attack-defense state. Khanh Dang's weak defensive situations certainly made many of the opponent's attackers feel discouraged.
Khanh Dang is currently the number 1 libero of Vietnamese women's volleyball. She will be a very important factor in coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's squad in the upcoming important international tournaments.
