Tien Phong Half Marathon 2025 takes place from December 12 to 14, 2025 at Van Phuc Urban Area (HCMC). It is expected that 2,000 athletes will participate in this race.
The race includes three competition distances: 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km for both men and women. The 21.1 km distance is divided into 5 age groups from 16 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59 and from 60 and above, creating opportunities for all runners to challenge themselves.
The time limit is set at 3 hours and 30 minutes for 21.1 km, 2 hours and 30 minutes for 10 km and 1 hour and 30 minutes for 5 km respectively. Athletes who exceed this time will not be recognized for their achievements, and support services on the track will be closed. Runners who meet the 2025 achievement standard can register to start pen Elite, participate in the race with the condition of completing their documents on time.
The method of calculating rankings according to international standards with three leading positions for each distance using guntime ensures high competitiveness and transparency. From fourth place onwards, the results are determined by chiptime to accurately reflect the actual achievements of each athlete.
The 21.1 km distance has a final round and an age group prize for both men and women, while the 10 km and 5 km distances awarded first, second, and third prizes for both sexes.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee said: "Although newly established, Tien Phong Half Marathon is fully inherited from its extensive experience in organizing, pioneering spirit and prestige of nearly seven decades of the National Marathon Championship and the long distance of Tien Phong Newspaper - the oldest running race in Vietnam, closely associated with the development of the country's sports movement".
The organizing committee also pledged that this first running race will bring new and inspiring experiences to the Vietnamese runner community; at the same time, opening a new, strong, persistent and promising chapter - in the development orientation of the organizing unit.
