The Ha Long Heritage International Marathon is the first and only race in Vietnam to be granted an international running track label by the World Athletics Federation.
With a route in the Top 50 most beautiful on the planet and a unique heritage identity, the race continues to affirm its prestige and appeal in the international running community.
This year, more than 3,000 international athletes from more than 60 countries participated, an increase of 131% compared to 2024.
Athletes compete in 4 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km
Favorable weather conditions, beautiful routes and professional organization work have helped the rate of athletes completing the distance to a very high level.
2025 marks the 10-year development of the Ha Long Heritage International Marathon - the journey to bring a race in Vietnam to international stature, becoming a major sporting - tourism event of the country.
The tournament was also selected as one of the typical activities of Quang Ninh in 2025, contributing to promoting the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay, stimulating tourism and spreading the image of the destination.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh said: Quang Ninh is committed to creating all favorable conditions for the Ha Long International Marathon to take place safely, civilly, and richly with experience.
