After the 33rd SEA Games women's volleyball final (December 15), the wave of debate has not cooled down, especially around the decisive scoring situation of the Thai team.
Many news sites and volleyball forums in this country have posted an image that is considered evidence showing that the ball was still in the court after Pimpichaya Kokram's serve.

Before that, the Vietnam women's volleyball team lost to Thailand with a close score of 2-3, thereby missing the opportunity to win a gold medal. The regret was even greater when the two teams struggled for each point in the 5th set. In the end, Thailand won 25-23 but the final score became the focus of discussion for fans in the region.
In a turning point, Pimpichaya Kokram took a shot to the end of the Vietnamese court. The Vietnamese players did not touch the ball because they thought the ball had flown out of the line. However, the main referee still recognized the points for Thailand, ending the match. Because the Vietnam team has used all the right to complain ( video challenge), this decision cannot be changed.
Immediately after that, many slow-motion angles were rebroadcast on television but did not provide clear answers. There was not a convincing enough framework to accurately determine whether the ball was inside or outside, causing controversy to continue after the match.
Late in the day, some Thai volleyball sites simultaneously shared photos that were said to have been taken by members of the national team's coaching staff. The photo taken from the back of the technical referee shows the moment the ball touches the floor through the monitoring screen. According to the spreading image, the ball was still in the valid half, thereby supporting the referee's decision.
However, the authenticity of the photo has not been confirmed by official press agencies or the SEA Games organizing committee, causing the story to remain unknown and continue to cause many conflicting opinions.
