According to the registered list, the Bangladesh team brings to Vietnam a force with many players playing abroad, grown from football backgrounds such as England, Finland, USA, Canada and Denmark. This group of players is expected to help the South Asian representative increase competitiveness, especially in the ability to organize play and high-intensity competition.
Most notably is midfielder Hamza Choudhury - a player who used to play in the Premier League for Leicester City. However, due to club-level schedules, this midfielder is expected to arrive in Hanoi on March 24. Hamza Choudhury's presence is expected to improve the quality of the away team's midfield.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese national team also gathered again in Hanoi from the morning of the same day. In the early stage of gathering, the team did not have enough troops because some players still played in the National Cup and the postponed match of round 13 of V.League 2025-2026. The group of players who arrived early included members from Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Hai Phong and Hoang Anh Gia Lai teams.
According to the plan, on March 22, players from Ninh Binh and The Cong Viettel will gather after completing their tasks in the National Cup. The last group gathers on March 23, including players from Hanoi Police due to having to play a postponed match in the V.League.
The organizers also said that match tickets have been distributed through the OneU application with two denominations of 200,000 VND and 300,000 VND, creating conditions for fans to come to the stadium to cheer for the team. Organization, security and audience service are being deployed synchronously, towards a lively and safe match at Hang Day Stadium.
