The 4x400m women's and 4x100m women's relay teams were trained for 2 weeks in Osaka (Japan) before joining their teammates in Aichi-Nagoya (Japan).
According to registration, the women's 4x400m relay team has 5 players (4 officials, 1 reserve) including Quach Thi Lan, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Nguyen Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Le Thi Tuyet Mai.
The women's 4x100m relay team has 5 athletes (4 officials, 1 reserve) including Le Thi Cam Tu, Ha Thi Thu, Phung Thi Hue, Hoang Du Y, Kha Thanh Truc.
Meanwhile, the 4x400m mixed women's relay team includes Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Nguyen Thi Hang, Ta Ngoc Tuong, Le Ngoc Phuc and Vu Ngoc Khanh.
In the squad of 25 Vietnamese athletics players at ASIAD 20, Nguyen Thi Oanh and Quach Thi Lan are the most experienced and elderly people. Both have passed the age of 30 together.
At ASIAD 19, the Vietnamese athletics team only registered 12 athletes to participate.
However, we did not win a medal. The faces who participated in ASIAD 19 and continued to be in the ASIAD 20 squad include Nguyen Thi Oanh, Nguyen Thi Hang, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Nguyen Thi Huong, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Nguyen Trung Cuong.
