Japan ranked right behind when winning 6 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. South Korea ranked third with 4 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 7 bronze medals.
In the group of Southeast Asian countries, Thailand created a gap with 3 gold medals and temporarily held the leading position. Myanmar, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam ranked behind each other.
The Vietnamese sports delegation currently has 2 bronze medals. The first medal came from teqball by Nguyen Hoang Minh Tan - Trinh Gia Nghi and Bui Ngoc Nhi bringing home another medal in the women's individual kata event of karate.
