According to the new world futsal rankings announced by FIFA, the Vietnam women's futsal team continues to maintain its position as 11th and 5th in Asia.

The world women's futsal rankings have expanded significantly since it was first announced in May 2024, when the number of countries ranked increased from 69 to 91 teams, reflecting the comprehensive development of global women's futsal along with a record of 286 official international matches in 2025.

On this ranking, the Vietnam women's futsal team continues to maintain its 11th place in the world - a stable position since the previous ranking, because during the period between the two announcements of the rankings, the team did not have any international matches with points.

This achievement comes in the context that Vietnamese women's futsal has actively prepared for international arenas, not only through continental tournaments but also international training and friendly trips to improve professional qualifications, accumulate valuable experience in the face of greater challenges in regional and continental arenas.

Currently, the Vietnam women's futsal team is competing in the 33rd SEA Games and has excellently won a ticket to the semi-finals after 2 wins against Indonesia and Myanmar in the group stage.
