On the morning of January 7, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that the Committee for Preventing and Combating Negativity in Football had organized a working session with the heads of delegations and head coaches of U19 teams to verify and clarify the negative performances in the qualifying round of the National U19 Championship 2025-2026.
Representatives of 4 U19 teams attending the working session include U19 Concrete 26, U19 Luxury Ha Long, U19 Hoai Duc and U19 Dao Ha.
At the meeting, the Anti-Polyticism Committee affirmed that the disciplinary decisions against players of the above 4 teams have been issued by the VFF Disciplinary Committee in accordance with regulations, ensuring strictness and timeliness. According to the board's assessment, the negative performances have seriously affected the professional quality of the National U19 Championship 2025-2026, and at the same time negatively affected the image of Vietnamese youth football and the reputation of the participating clubs.
The Anti-Polyticism Committee requests clubs to seriously recognize the shortcomings and violations in the organization and management of players; clarify the causes and motives leading to negative competition behavior. At the same time, teams are requested to proactively coordinate with functional agencies in the process of monitoring, verifying and handling cases in accordance with regulations.
In addition, the board also proposed that the Organizing Committee strengthen the work of controlling and appraising the conditions for participating in the tournament of the teams. VFF will continue to closely coordinate with the Organizing Committee of the Tournament, the VFF Disciplinary Committee, Room 4 - Criminal Police Department and related agencies to review, analyze, and evaluate matches with signs of abnormality.
According to VFF, in case violations are detected, strict handling measures will be applied according to VFF's Disciplinary Regulations and current legal regulations. For teams with signs or recurrence of inactive competition, the Anti-Polyticism Committee proposes to consider applying aggravating sanctions, including removal from the league and not allowing them to participate in the following seasons.
