Accordingly, goalkeeper Tran Van Luong will not be included in the final list of the Vietnamese futsal team participating in the 2026 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship.
Previously, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team had a training process in Ho Chi Minh City with high-intensity training sessions combined with friendly matches to improve the playing style and increase cohesion between the lines. The coaching staff especially focused on improving the ability to take advantage of opportunities in decisive moments - an important factor in short-term tournaments.

The final list of the Vietnamese futsal team participating in this year's regional tournament does not have many changes compared to the force participating in the 2026 Asian Championship finals. Notably, the return of goalkeeper Ho Van Y after a long period of injury treatment is expected to help increase stability for the defense system. In addition, some young players continue to be given opportunities to increase the depth of force and competitiveness in the squad.
According to the draw results, the Vietnamese futsal team is in Group A with opponents Myanmar, Timor-Leste and host Thailand. In which, Thailand is considered the leading candidate for the championship, and is also a direct competitor for the top spot in the group with the Vietnamese futsal team.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese futsal team will meet Myanmar in the opening match tomorrow (April 6). This is considered an important match, greatly affecting the opportunity to win a ticket to the next round for coach Diego Giustozzi's team at this year's tournament.
