The Vietnamese women's team is entering an acceleration phase in the process of preparing for the 2026 Asian Women's Championship finals. In this phase, the coaching staff proactively improves the volume and intensity of training, focusing on physical strength, strength and speed, in parallel with perfecting technical and tactical aspects.
Sharing about the current training pace, young striker Vu Thi Hoa (Hanoi Club) said that recent training sessions have been pushed to a higher level, in which physical fitness and strength supplementation content are clearly focused on. According to the striker born in 2003, this is a necessary preparation step for players to adapt to the harsh competition intensity in the continental arena.

For me personally and the whole team, when coach Mai Duc Chung pushes up the intensity, the players will gradually improve their fitness and strength," Vu Thi Hoa shared.
Looking at personal goals, the young striker frankly said that she still has many points to improve to meet professional requirements. "For individuals, I will need to improve my agility and add strength," she said.
Besides, Vu Thi Hoa said that the whole team has learned many lessons from the past matches to continue adjusting in the remaining preparation period. "After the past two matches, the whole team has also learned a lot of experience and needs to improve a lot to be better. I will try to focus more to improve with the team," the female striker emphasized.
From a professional perspective, the player belonging to Hanoi Club believes that ball handling needs to be more flexible when facing teams with advantages in physique and fitness. "I think when facing opponents with advantages in physique or strength, we should pass the ball early so that the competition between us and the opponent cannot be equal," Vu Thi Hoa added.

At the 2026 Asian Women's Championship finals, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group C with opponents Japan, India and Taiwan (China). The tournament takes place from March 1st to March 21st, 2026 in 3 cities Sydney, Perth and Gold Coast (Australia). The top two teams in each group and the two third-placed teams with the best results will qualify for the quarterfinals.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's team will play in the group stage in Perth city, respectively facing India (March 4), Taiwan (China) (March 7) and Japan (March 10) at Perth Rectangular Stadium.
