The coaching staff of the Vietnam Taekwondo Team said that Truong Thi Kim Tuyen will not participate in national training from 2026. After SEA Games 33, the female martial artist expressed her wish to retire from the National Taekwondo Team and the above intention was approved.

Truong Thi Kim Tuyen was born in 1997 in Vinh Long. Competing in the women's 49kg weight class at SEA Games 33, Truong Thi Kim Tuyen won a bronze medal.

Kim Tuyen once won an official spot to participate in the 2020 Olympics in Japan. In her career, she is one of the rare Vietnamese martial artists who has won a world championship medal. That is the silver medal in the women's 46kg weight class at the 2017 World Championships.

This female martial artist won gold medals at the Asian Championships in 2018, 2021.

Kim Tuyen once shared on her personal Facebook page after winning a bronze medal at SEA Games 33: "SEA Games 33, the last match, the last medal in Tuyen's top sports career. As soon as she left the ring, Tuyen shed tears.

Tuyen cried not because she was the loser, not because she only received a bronze medal, but because the journey of 12 years of professional sports, 15 years standing on the taekwondo ring officially closed with a little incomplete regret.

For Tuyen, taekwondo is youth, a beautiful memory. Playing for the colors of the Vietnamese flag is a great honor and pride for Tuyen herself.

Tuyen is very lucky to live fully with his passion, experiencing both the sweetness of victory and lessons from failure, tears of happiness and self-blame.

Throughout her career, Tuyen has received too much love and help...".
