As soon as they arrived at Wattay International Airport, the players and coaching staff received a warm welcome from the Vietnamese community in Laos.
The presence of coach Kim Sang-sik and his team became the center of attention at the airport, surrounded by a large number of overseas Vietnamese. They arrived early, carrying red flags with yellow stars, fresh bouquets of flowers and banners to cheer and encourage the team, creating a lively and warm atmosphere.
The whole team was very touched by the affection of fans far from home, took time to interact, take photos and sign autographs for fans.
Returning to the hotel with wishes of success from many fans, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team took the opportunity to have lunch and rest to recover in time for the first training session in Vientiane.
Before that, the team leader - Mr. Doan Anh Tuan had come a day in advance to conduct advance work, work with the hotel and local organizing committee to ensure that all activities of the team upon arriving in Laos would go smoothly and conveniently.
The match between Vietnam and Laos will take place at 8pm on December 9. Thus, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will have at least 2 more training sessions to complete the final preparations for the opening match in the Southeast Asian arena.
